Daucus carota var. abyssinicus adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Apiaceae (suku adas-adasan) yang memiliki siklus hidup dua musim (biennial). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Eritrea hingga Ethiopia. Nama ilmiah Daucus carota var. abyssinicus diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Alexander Karl Heinrich Braun pada tahun 1841.
