Eleocharis atropurpurea var. hashimotoi merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Jepang tengah dan selatan. Nama ilmiah Eleocharis atropurpurea var. hashimotoi pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Jisaburo Ohwi pada tahun 1932.
