Eleocharis aurea adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering di wilayah Meksiko timur laut. Nama ilmiah Eleocharis aurea diperkenalkan oleh Johann Otto Boeckeler pada tahun 1888.
