Eleocharis compressa adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Kanada hingga Amerika Serikat bagian barat-tengah dan timur. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan flatstem spikerush. Nama ilmiah Eleocharis compressa diperkenalkan oleh William Starling Sullivant pada tahun 1842.
