Eleocharis compressa var. acutisquamata merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk rimpang atau stolon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan sharpscale spikerush. Nama ilmiah Eleocharis compressa var. acutisquamata diperkenalkan oleh Samuel Botsford Buckley pada tahun 2001.
