Eleocharis diandra merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Kanada tenggara hingga Amerika Serikat timur laut. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan wright's spikerush. Nama ilmiah Eleocharis diandra diperkenalkan oleh Samuel Hart Wright pada tahun 1883.
