Eleocharis grisea merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Kuba (Pulau de la Juventud). Nama ilmiah Eleocharis grisea diperkenalkan oleh Georg Kükenthal pada tahun 1926.
