Eleocharis mendocina merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Argentina barat laut. Nama ilmiah Eleocharis mendocina diperkenalkan oleh Rodolfo Amando Philippi pada tahun 1873.
