Eleocharis montevidensis adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan sand spikerush. Nama ilmiah Eleocharis montevidensis pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carl Sigismund Kunth pada tahun 1837.
