Eleocharis obtusetrigona merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis. Nama ilmiah Eleocharis obtusetrigona pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis John Lindley pada tahun 1854.
