Eleocharis petasata merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang. Nama ilmiah Eleocharis petasata pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carl Maximowicz pada tahun 1935.
