Erica australis merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Ericaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Semenanjung Iberia, Maroko utara. Nama ilmiah Erica australis pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carolus Linnaeus dalam Species Plantarum tahun 1770.
