Eriogonum chrysops merupakan tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Polygonaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Oregon (Malheur County). Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan bitterroot buckwheat. Nama ilmiah Eriogonum chrysops pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Per Axel Rydberg pada tahun 1917.
