Erythroxylum carthagenense adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Erythroxylaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Trinidad, Kolombia, hingga Venezuela barat laut. Nama ilmiah Erythroxylum carthagenense pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Nikolaus Joseph von Jacquin pada tahun 1760.
