Erythroxylum coca merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Erythroxylaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Amerika Selatan bagian barat. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan coca, Peru coca, atau Peruvian coca. Nama ilmiah Erythroxylum coca pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Jean-Baptiste Lamarck pada tahun 1786.
