Erythroxylum macrochaetum merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Erythroxylaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Brazil timur laut (hingga Minas Gerais). Nama ilmiah Erythroxylum macrochaetum pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Friedrich Anton Wilhelm Miquel pada tahun 1849.
