Erythroxylum sinense merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Erythroxylaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari China selatan hingga Indo-China. Nama ilmiah Erythroxylum sinense diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Yin Chan Wu pada tahun 1940.
