Forsythia viridissima merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Oleaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah China selatan, Korea Selatan. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan greenstem forsythia. Nama ilmiah Forsythia viridissima pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis John Lindley pada tahun 1846.
