Froelichia interrupta adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Amaranthaceae (suku bayam-bayaman). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko hingga kawasan tropis Amerika. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan texas snakecotton. Nama ilmiah Froelichia interrupta pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Christian Horace Bénédict Alfred Moquin-Tandon pada tahun 1849.
