Gardenia sericea merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Rubiaceae (suku kopi-kopian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Australia Barat bagian utara. Nama ilmiah Gardenia sericea diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Christopher Francis Puttock pada tahun 1997.
