Gomphrena ferruginea adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan semusim dari famili Amaranthaceae (suku bayam-bayaman). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Bolivia selatan hingga Argentina barat laut. Nama ilmiah Gomphrena ferruginea diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Troels Myndel Pedersen pada tahun 1976.
