Gomphrena muscoides merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Amaranthaceae (suku bayam-bayaman). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Karibia hingga Amerika Selatan bagian utara. Nama ilmiah Gomphrena muscoides diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Olof Peter Swartz pada tahun 2020.
