Gomphrena tomentosa var. ruiz-lealii adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Amaranthaceae (suku bayam-bayaman). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Argentina barat laut (hingga Córdoba). Nama ilmiah Gomphrena tomentosa var. ruiz-lealii pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Armando Theodoro Hunziker pada tahun 1977.
