Gomphrena triceps merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Amaranthaceae (suku bayam-bayaman). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Uruguay. Nama ilmiah Gomphrena triceps diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Troels Myndel Pedersen pada tahun 1997.
