Halothamnus heptapotamicus merupakan tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Amaranthaceae (suku bayam-bayaman). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Asia tengah hingga Xinjiang utara. Nama ilmiah Halothamnus heptapotamicus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Victor Petrovič Botschantzev pada tahun 1981.
