Helianthus petiolaris var. canescens adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan semusim dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Amerika Serikat barat daya hingga Texas barat dan Meksiko (Baja California Norte, Coahuila). Nama ilmiah Helianthus petiolaris var. canescens diperkenalkan oleh Asa Gray pada tahun 1852.
