Hibbertia aurea merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Dilleniaceae (suku simpur-simpuran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Australia Barat bagian barat-barat-daya. Nama ilmiah Hibbertia aurea pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Ernst Gottlieb von Steudel pada tahun 1845.
