Hopea jacobi merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Dipterocarpaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah India barat daya. Nama ilmiah Hopea jacobi pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Cecil Ernest Claude Fischer pada tahun 1932.
