Hydrocotyle cryptocarpa adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan air (hidrofit) dari famili Araliaceae (suku mangkok-mangkokan) yang hidup semusim. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Chili tengah, Argentina timur laut, hingga Uruguay. Nama ilmiah Hydrocotyle cryptocarpa pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carlo Luigi (Carlos Luis) Spegazzini pada tahun 1883.
