Hydrocotyle leucocephala merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Araliaceae (suku mangkok-mangkokan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko selatan hingga kawasan tropis Amerika, Pulau Gough. Nama ilmiah Hydrocotyle leucocephala diperkenalkan oleh Adelbert von Chamisso pada tahun 1826.
