Hyptis hispida adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Lamiaceae (suku nilam-nilaman). Nama ilmiah Hyptis hispida diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Eduard Friedrich Poeppig pada tahun 1858. Nama spesies ini merupakan sinonim dari Cantinoa americana.
