Hyptis lappacea adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Lamiaceae (suku nilam-nilaman) yang tumbuh dalam bentuk perdu kecil atau semak. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Bolivia hingga Brazil dan Argentina bagian utara. Nama ilmiah Hyptis lappacea diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama George Bentham pada tahun 1833.
