Hyptis pectinata merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu kecil dari famili Lamiaceae (suku nilam-nilaman) yang memiliki siklus hidup semusim (annual). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan comb bushmint. Nama ilmiah Hyptis pectinata pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Pierre Antoine Poiteau pada tahun 1806.
