Jatropha capensis adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan perdu atau perdu kecil dari famili Euphorbiaceae (suku kastuba-kastubaan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis atau subtropis di wilayah Provinsi Cape. Nama ilmiah Jatropha capensis diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Carl Linnaeus the Younger pada tahun 1850.
