Jatropha euarguta merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Euphorbiaceae (suku kastuba-kastubaan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering di wilayah Kenya (Northern Frontier). Nama ilmiah Jatropha euarguta diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Michael George Gilbert pada tahun 1991.
