Jatropha hernandiifolia adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Euphorbiaceae (suku kastuba-kastubaan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Hispaniola hingga Puerto Rico. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan wild oilnut. Nama ilmiah Jatropha hernandiifolia diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Étienne Pierre Ventenat pada tahun 1803.
