Jatropha lagarinthoides adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Euphorbiaceae (suku kastuba-kastubaan). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk bonggol berbentuk umbi. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering di wilayah Afrika Selatan. Nama ilmiah Jatropha lagarinthoides pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Otto Wilhelm Sonder pada tahun 1850.
