Lachnagrostis leptostachys merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Kepulauan Antipodes. Nama ilmiah Lachnagrostis leptostachys diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Joseph Dalton Hooker pada tahun 1965.
Agrostis leptostachys Hook.f. Deyeuxia filiformis var. micrathera (Hack.) Petrie Deyeuxia forsteri var. micrathera Hack.
