Lachnagrostis littoralis merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Kepulauan Kermadec hingga Selandia Baru. Nama ilmiah Lachnagrostis littoralis diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Eduard Hackel pada tahun 1995.
