Lachnagrostis schlechteri merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Provinsi Cape. Nama ilmiah Lachnagrostis schlechteri diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Alfred Barton Rendle pada tahun 2002.
