Lathyrus roseus merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Krym, Türkiye, Suriah, hingga Iran. Nama ilmiah Lathyrus roseus diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Christian von Steven pada tahun 1813.
