Leucophyllum zygophyllum merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Scrophulariaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering di wilayah Meksiko timur laut. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan cimmeron. Nama ilmiah Leucophyllum zygophyllum diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Ivan Murray Johnston pada tahun 1940.
