Ludwigia perennis merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Onagraceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di kawasan tropis dan subtropis Afrika, Eropa dan Asia. Nama ilmiah Ludwigia perennis diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Carolus Linnaeus pada tahun 1753.
