Ludwigia speciosa merupakan tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Onagraceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Tanzania timur hingga Mozambique timur. Nama ilmiah Ludwigia speciosa diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama John Patrick Micklethwait Brenan pada tahun 2007.
