Ludwigia tomentosa merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Onagraceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Bolivia timur hingga Brazil. Nama ilmiah Ludwigia tomentosa pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Jacques Cambessèdes pada tahun 1953.
