Malacothamnus abbottii adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Malvaceae (suku kapas-kapasan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah California (Monterey County selatan). Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan abbot's bushmallow. Nama ilmiah Malacothamnus abbottii pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Alice Eastwood pada tahun 1951.
