Mallotus oppositifolius merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Euphorbiaceae (suku kastuba-kastubaan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di kawasan tropis Afrika, Madagaskar. Nama ilmiah Mallotus oppositifolius mulai dipublikasikan pada tahun 1865.
