Mapania immersa merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian) yang dapat tumbuh di media yang tergenang air (helofit). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Sri Lanka. Nama ilmiah Mapania immersa diperkenalkan oleh George Henry Kendrick Thwaites pada tahun 1894.
