Medinilla cucullata merupakan tumbuhan epifit dari famili Melastomataceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari Madagaskar. Nama ilmiah Medinilla cucullata diperkenalkan oleh Joseph Marie Henry Alfred Perrier de la Bâthie pada tahun 1932.
