Medinilla macrophylla merupakan tumbuhan epifit dari famili Melastomataceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di kawasan Malesia. Nama ilmiah Medinilla macrophylla pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carl Ludwig Blume pada tahun 1849.
